  • From one-off webinars, to all day trainings to year-long courses, let us develop a training plan that is right for you. How does your organization recognize and develop the potential of your people and their ideas? Leadership is not only for top managers. We will train you, your staff or network to connect your employee engagement to leadership development, learn the essential components of an equitable leadership pipeline, assess the strengths and challenges of your agency's pipeline, and identify next steps you can take to strengthen your pipeline for internal development.

If we give ourselves a few minutes, we can easily identify the leaders we admire. Given a few more minutes, we can even see the kind of leader we want to become. What we often cannot see is how to go from where we are to become the kind of leader we admire and want to become. Join us for our closing session focused on the behaviors that exemplary leaders do, no matter where they sit in an organization, when they are at their best. We will focus on how you can display the characteristics you admire and identify a few activities you can take home to help you move closer to liberating the leader within you.

    Learning Objectives:

By the end of the sessions, participants will be able to:

—Reflect on leadership characteristics from leaders you have known and admired.

—Describe the behaviors that make up the five elements of exemplary leadership.

—Consider your workplace culture and how to embed principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and belonging in your leadership practice.

  • From working to support Board understanding and fulfillment of its roles and responsibilities to its ability to be exceptional, Thrive will partner with you to design trainings, retreats, materials or a process to bolster your board's ability to be strategic and mission driven.

Tailored to the specific needs of your board and organization as a whole, Thrive will assist your board in rising to the challenges of our times to increase your organizations impact. Thrive can help you evaluate your board’s functioning, strengthen the way the board works, increase board engagement, deepen the relationship between the board and Executive Director, identify Board goals, and develop processes and tools to achieve its goals from engaging in strategic thinking to recruiting and integrating diverse members.

  • Ideal for new Directors looking for an assessment of the program they are now responsible to lead or anyone looking to solve a structural issue, our organizational reviews identify agency strengths and key challenges, and then work with program leadership to develop recommendations to address specific identified challenges.

The goal of the review is to support you in removing roadblocks you may be facing to providing high-quality and impactful services by improving your ability to operate in an efficient and effective manner.

The reviews are conducted by a small group of Thrive Partners utilizing relevant community standards combined with their 40 years of experience leading and managing P&A, legal services or other mission driven agencies. Reviews are based on advance materials review, community input, as well as board and staff interviews. They can be designed to assess governance, leadership, program, operations, DEIA practices and/or financial management.

  • Our approach to strategic planning is to create an authentic and inclusive process with key leaders and stakeholders driven by voices of the communities most impacted by your work. Partnering with key leaders in your agency and community, we assist you to develop a shared vision of success, a roadmap of how to get there, the commitment to make it happen, and the metrics to track your progress.

Our team understands that success in strategic planning requires addressing a number of challenges and critical points in the process. Our process starts by getting input from key constituencies as well as staff and Board members to identify the strategic questions for the organization; an environmental scan to identify internal and external drivers and trends; an opportunity to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats; and a chance to use the results of this analysis to develop measurable and meaningful outcomes, goals and strategies that build on your organization’s strengths and opportunities. We bake diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging throughout the process.

We know that the ultimate success of strategic planning requires ownership of its implementation by key players. We work with the staff, board members and others as appropriate to support the development of their own implementation plan to ensure that ownership of the plan's, and therefore the vision's, success permeates the organization.
